Who doesn’t like a
fun pop-up?
Just Wing It
Client:
Benefit
Agency:
The Persuaders
Role:
Art Director / Designer
I helped The Persuaders create a pop-up fried chicken shop ‘Just Wing It’, serving an unusual mix of wings, courtesy of Benefit’s Roller Liner product (which creates perfect wings) and Mother Cluckers’ chicken & vegan wings.
Aesthetically we combined Benefit’s checks, diamond and stripes with visual cues from traditional fried chicken outlets. The pop-up ran for six days, serving over 1750 chicken and vegan wings, and double the number of winged eyes.
Starbucks Blonde Tour
Client:
Starbucks
Agency:
The Persuaders
Role:
Art Director / Designer
As part of the launch of the new Blonde Roast coffee blend, we were commissioned by the fabulous experiential group The Persuaders to develop a livery design for a special van that would be touring the UK.
Blonde Roast had its own branding elements but we pushed those a bit by introducing some fun handmade illustrations in simple black and yellow brand colours.
Spring Bloom Tour
Client:
Boden / Bloom & Wild
Agency:
The Persuaders
Role:
Art Director / Designer
Working with The Persuaders I helped design this tour bus livery for Boden and Bloom & Wild’s ‘Spring Bloom Tour’.
Go Imagine
Client:
Microsoft
Agency:
The Persuaders
Role:
Art Director / Designer
I helped The Persuaders create a playful interactive pop-up space called ‘Go Imagine’ to help showcase Microsoft Surface tablets to parents and children.
Aperol’s Big Birthday Bash
Client:
Aperol
Agency:
The Persuaders
Role:
Art Director / Designer
I helped The Persuaders design lots of lovely orange things for Aperol’s ‘Big Birthday Social’ at the Electric Light Station in Shoreditch.
Taking cues from Aperol’s brand, we helped create artwork for exterior backdrops of a bright orange lido and waterfall, livery for Fiat 500-converted hot tubs, interior artwork for the bars and backdrops. Fun times.
The Customised Fixed Rate Account

Accompanied by an interactive ad campaign and viral content, I helped organise a mini-convoy of penny-farthing to ride around the City of London to aid Aldermore’s promotion of their new Customised Fixed Rate Account for business.

The Photographic Adventures of Nick Turpin
Client:
Samsung UK
Agency:
Lean Mean Fighting Machine
Role:
Art Director / Designer
Samsung’s Pixon camera phone meant people no longer had to miss out on those spontaneous moments in life when your phone was either too slow, or too low-res to capture them properly. To really dramatise this potential for spontaneity Lean Mean Fighting Machine hired street photographer Nick Turpin for a 28 day journey around the world.
Nick uploaded a daily photographic post to the microsite I designed and invited the public to click on the most intriguing element within that photo. After the two hour voting window had closed the section of the photo that had the highest concentration of clicks became the subject for his next photo and destination.
In this spontaneous fashion Nick made his way across the globe concluding with a photographic exhibition of his journey in London & Cologne
