Speechbreaker

Client:
The Liberal Democrats

Agency:
Lean Mean Fighting Machine

Role:
Art Director / Designer

The Lib Dems were looking for a fun viral idea to help ignite their 2010 election campaign and the Keynote speeches from Britain’s three core party leaders provided the perfect material.

Inspired by the likes of the wonderful Cassetteboy, we created a simple website where all three party leaders’ speeches were chopped up and displayed as single key words, allowing audiences to create alternative speeches they really wanted to hear via a simple drag and drop mechanism. The twist being that Nick Clegg had a limited selection of words so he couldn’t be stitched up.

Audiences were then able to jam up Youtube’s digital pipelines with mischievous videos speeches and then share across the social ether.
